Tips for Emcees (MCs) to use their email address effectively
These tips are mainly for the full time emcees (though can be used by other part time emcees as well; infact can be used for other professions as well).
* Start using Gmail ID or Yahoo ID that includes “emcee/MC” in the email address eg: email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org Start using this email address to send and receive emails so that your contacts would be aware that you are an emcee and it gets registered in their mind everytime they send or receive email from you.
* Those who have website, start using your website email address instead of gmail or yahoo. Using website email address will give more professional look and also your website name gets registered everytime your contacts receive mail from you. They are also aware that you have a website and they shall check details about you going through your website. Eg: email@example.com
* Few people may hesitate to create new email addresses as mentioned above because they may feel that they have been using their email addresses for several years and their contacts may feel uncomfortable with new email address. Also they will feel lazy to check 2, 3 inboxes. Actually there is an option to map all your email addresses in one place either in Gmail or Yahoo. So that you shall open just one ID and check all the emails in one place. Will discuss more about this in another post.
